Black Nerd Problems:
Staff Writer
The cultural site Blacknerdproblems.com is dedicated to the representation of comics, television, film, and content creation from Blerd (black and brown nerd) perspective. Given the space for my unique voice to thrive, I write film and TV reviews from the lens of women of color in media. I attend press junkets, interview writer, actors and directors in popular films such as Yahya Adul Mateen III (Aquaman, The Matrix). My film and critic reviews for the site can also be found on Rotten Tomatoes. My editorials include articles such as The Color Cinnamon: The Shade of Film & TV a look at representation in film and TV and Beyoncé’s Renaissance: A Virgo’s Exalt.

#HashtagTheShow:
Co- Writer / Co-Creator
My skills as a writer expanded to writing for film and television via new media. I currently write for my sketch comedy web series #HashtagTheShow. Written, and produced by brother-sister duo Aisha & Rafael Jordan #HashtagTheShow shows what it’s like to be Black and Brown in America. We believe that comedy is a vital component of social movements, and finding joy is essential to our survival. We use comedy to heal, be seen, laugh through tears, and express frustration in positive ways. Episodes are available on Kweli.tv with select sketches on YouTube.
